9 Hours Capsule Hotel
For Business trips, travels, or overtime work. What features are required for overnight stays in urban hotels? Resetting your day, from one day to the next, needs three basic actions: take a shower, sleep, and get yourself dressed. This extraordinary capsule hotel simply replace these actions with the time spent: one hour + seven hours + one hour. Based on this most straightforward concept of staying in a hotel, ninehours offers ideally simple urban stay unlike any other in the world.
If you are traveling around Japan, you will probably want to spend as much time seeing everything you can so it’s very convenient to spend as little time to rest. You can leave your luggage at the capsule and walk around. If you have large luggage you can also leave it at the lockers in major stations.
The capsules are clean and surprisingly cozy with enough room to sit up and read before you sleep. the bed sheets are of the same quality as those that are used in a four-star hotel. A system designed by Panasonic wakes you up gently with light. You are provided with sleepwear and everything that you need for a shower. Everyone is wearing matching uniforms. Of course the mens side and a womens side separated by different elevators. The feeling is kind of like being a clone in a Stanley Kubric film. A good experience for one night.
The first location opened in Kyoto in 2009 but with it’s popularity they have opened new locations at Narita airport, Sendai, Shinjuku, Kanda, Takebashi, Akasaka, and Kamata.
