Thanks to Jo, the owner, who is always a very attentive host, working every detail. Key point: open 23 hours a day !! (the staff sleeps upstairs). Pasta from 1500 yen and only 26 seats.

If you're luck to get a seat, leave everything to the chef, Takashi Imai. The 10 seats have been booked every night, the cooks basic weapon of choice is a warrior chicken. A 7 item starter followed by three more meat dishes. The chef brings out the flavour in chicken like no other.

Downstairs you can sit at the bar where you can watch the factory line of seasoned tonkatsu professionals make your meal. Definitely go on the early side. If not you can sit upstairs but you don't get the joy of watching the makings of the perfect tonkatsu. A treasure among the meguro eating establishments.
